Sometimes God Calls Us to Pause

I didn’t realize how much I needed to take a break from creating for my audience until I took one in July.
Although it wasn’t a long break, it gave me something I hadn’t expected—the space to create my short film, Strong Enough, and to observe life from a different perspective. Instead of constantly watching families, friends, and everyday interactions through the lens of “What can I teach?” I simply watched, listened, and experienced.
That pause reminded me why I do this work.
Directing a story I’ve written about family relationships, the struggle to be heard, and the desire to truly be seen has reignited something in me. There are so many families living with these challenges every single day. Through film, I have the opportunity to tell those stories in a way that invites conversation, understanding, and hope.
I’m excited about this season in a way I haven’t been for a long time. While my mission hasn’t changed, the way I share it is expanding. Whether through books, workshops, or now film, my heart remains the same: helping families build healthier, stronger relationships.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for reading, for encouraging me, for reaching out, and for giving me a platform to share ideas that matter. I’m so glad to be back.
As I step into this new season, I’d love to invite you to be part of the journey. We’re currently crowdfunding Strong Enough to complete post-production and prepare the film for the festival circuit and community screenings that will spark meaningful conversations about family, responsibility, and love.
If this story resonates with you, I’d be honored if you would consider supporting the campaign or sharing it with someone who believes in the power of storytelling. Every contribution and every share brings us one step closer to completing this film.

Thank you for believing in this vision.
